Get to Know You.
The Coalition’s career counseling program can help you get to know what you and your spouse or caregiver want to do to as you transition from the military to civilian life. We focus on in-depth assessments and complete analysis of your future options so you can be happy and fulfilled in whatever you decide to pursue.
How do I start?
Initially you can qualify for this program by filling out the application to become a part of the Coalition. Once you have been notified of your acceptance, we will connect you with the appropriate services.
What will I get?
Once your eligibility has been verified, here are some of the services we offer:
- Orientation and initial consultation with trained career counselor
- In-depth assessment to include behavioral characteristics, competencies, and goals
- Assistance in exploring education and employment options and potential career paths
- Assessment of the local market and potential industry options
- Resumé preparation and letter writing
- Job search strategies, including using the internet
- Practice interviewing skills
- Access to online tools
- Connection to local vocational rehabilitation and job accommodation
- Introduction to military recruiting firms and local hiring organizations
- Access to career counselor via phone and email
