Homes for Wounded Heroes

Rebuilding lives.

Homes for Wounded Heroes
Disabled American veterans of the War on Terror must struggle every day to overcome life-changing sacrifices such as the loss of a limb, significant burns and the reality of being in a wheelchair. After months, sometimes years, finally coming home presents new challenges too. For veterans that are blind, paraplegic, or severely burned, simple tasks such as bathing, reaching cabinets, turning off lights and maneuvering through hallways are added difficulties.

The Coalition’s “Homes for Wounded War Heroes Fund” forges a partnership between the wounded veteran, government agencies, manufacturers, businesses, and individuals in order to provide renovated housing at little or no cost to the veteran. By connecting all of these various resources, the Coalition lessens the financial burden these heroes must endure in addition to the physical changes that they must deal with daily.
