Coalition to Salute America's Heroes Participates in Pro-troops Event At California State Capitol

July 7, 2007 - The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes participated in an Operation
America Rising, www.americarising.org, event on the east lawn of California's capitol
grounds, July 7th.

Phelps Hobart, a new volunteer, set up and staffed our display table. Literature was
distributed and we were introduced to several individuals who share our concern for
returning veterans.

In the days that followed Phelps made office visits with our literature to the California
Department of Veterans Affairs, California Department of Employee Development,
California National Guard, and offices of the senior consultants for the state's senate and
assembly committees for veteran affairs.

August 28th at the California State Fair, he will be distributing our literature and talking
to fair-goers. August 28th is a special fair day devoted to "First Responders." The
military and veterans are honored with free admission and other benefits and several
veteran groups will have displays and information tables.

Phelps comes to us with a background of volunteer experience in support of the military
and veterans. He is extremely active within the Navy League of the United States and
was instrumental in bringing Operation Homefront to Sacramento. As a member of the
Military Officers Association of America, he chaired that organization's 2006 state
convention. We thank him for coming to us and appreciate his outreach for the
