The Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes is introducing a brand new program!
The 2018 Leadership Skills Retreat
We are now inviting combat-wounded veterans to apply for one of 12 available slots.
The event, to be held Nov. 12-15 in Colonial Williamsburg, will feature an intensive series of workshops, interactive sessions and speakers focused on building leadership, family and personal skills. During the retreat, participants will be armed with the skills and tools needed to advance their chosen careers as well as to support their personal relationships with their spouse, children and extended family.
The retreat – built around the theme “Turn the Page” – is open to combat-wounded U.S. veterans in various stages of their careers – whether they are about to embark on their civilian life, are currently employed or are in transition. Participants will be expected to engage fully in the retreat, from participating in intense, interactive workshops to undergoing individual career evaluations. For this reason, spouses and children are not invited.
To be considered, please submit a one-page self-nomination, answering in your own words these three questions:
- Why do you want to attend this retreat?
- What do you hope to learn during this retreat?
- How do you expect to apply the lessons learned in this retreat to your career and/or family?
Please feel free to share this opportunity with a combat-wounded veteran you think would benefit.
Applications are due by 5 p.m. Eastern Time on September 15, and the 12 invited participants will be notified by October 12.
Submit Applications via e mail to: info@saluteheroes.org
