Eligibility

The Coalition tries to provide the assistance you need to get your life back on track. To begin, we need you to supply some information to help us better understand your needs. This information will remain strictly confidential, and only be shared with your permission with authorized Coalition partners or organizations that wish to offer assistance.

Are You Eligible?

To qualify for emergency financial assistance, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Be a Post-9/11 veteran who served in Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) or Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).
  2. Have served boots-on-the-ground in Iraq or Afghanistan.
  3. Possess a DD214 reflecting one of the following awards:
  • Iraq Campaign Medal
  • Afghanistan Campaign Medal
  • Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal
  • Or have documented Iraq or Afghanistan service dates listed in Line 18 of the DD214
  1. Have sustained an injury while serving boots on the ground in Iraq or Afghanistan. 
  2. Have a disability rating of 30% or higher for a single sustained injury that incurred while serving boots on the ground in Iraq or Afghanistan. (Can be physical or mental)
  3. Experiencing a dire emergency financial need.
  4. Have received an Honorable Discharge from military service.
  5. Be a first-time applicant for assistance with the Coalition to salute America’s heroes

Please note that while the Coalition wishes we could help all individuals who seek assistance, regrettably we only have limited funds to address the needs of qualified veterans. Therefore, we can only respond to requests based on available resources.
