Dr. Adam Summers, Board Certified in Plastic Surgery and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery, is offering reconstructive plastic surgery procedures free of charge to qualified veterans through his new Make a Veteran Smile program.

Dr. Summers founded the Maryland Plastic Surgery Center and PURE MedSpa in 2002, and, since that time, he has treated over 10,000 patients and has donated over $250,000 to charitable causes.

Discussing the new Make a Veteran Smile program (launched in July, 2016), Dr. Summers said that he has been inspired to make a commitment to helping more veterans in need. He notes, “My father proudly served as a veteran for our country and I wanted to find a way to honor all of our veterans. I know how much they have given to our country and I also know that many of them have experienced hardships. I am excited to be able to do something that will bring a smile to their face and that of their family. I also believe that others will want to support this mission, which is why I’m inviting local residents to participate in my new Make a Veteran Smile program.”
The Make a Veteran Smile program invites veterans to submit their stories about how a reconstructive plastic surgery procedure will improve their life. Each month, one fortunate veteran will be selected to receive a complimentary plastic surgery procedure by Dr. Summers at the Maryland Plastic Surgery Center.

In addition, to further support this noble cause, Dr. Summers is donating a portion of payments received from his patients having cosmetic procedures at the Maryland Plastic Surgery Center.

During the launch of this innovative new program, Dr. Summers hosted an event to help build community support and rally around US troops. In addition, to create awareness for the new cause and raise funds, Dr. Summers is offering a special package for those who wish to empower veterans while helping themselves as well.
