Emergency Financial Aid

Since 2004, the Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes has provided disabled American veterans from Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, and New Dawn with millions of dollars worth of Emergency Financial Aid and support services.

The Coalition receives daily calls and applications from disabled servicemen and women facing financial crises. After a severe injury, wounded veterans are not only having to rebuild a new way of life in so many unexpected ways, but their families are experiencing real hardships while waiting for their benefits.

The Coalition has developed numerous programs to assist disabled veterans and their spouse/caregiver recover, rebuild and reconnect with others facing the same challenges. The Veteran Circle Membership (VC) is one way we have been able to help with peer support.

    The Vettys- The 4th Annual Veterans Awards

    Watergate Hotel, Washington, DC

    It's back again in 2019,  the extremely prestigious Veterans Award program- The Vettys.

    Praised by the community of our nation’s finest for its symbolic gesture of unity, empowerment, and collaboration, the Veterans Awards also known as the Vettys® is presented by the Academy of United States Veterans and its partner organizations. The ceremony solely honors public servants, leaders, and innovators within the veterans space. The Vettys® focuses on organizational, individual and community excellence. For years, the veterans community and its leaders have made great strides in entrepreneurship, academia, leadership, community service, and beyond. The Vettys® provides a recognition platform for individuals and entities to be acknowledged for their tireless demonstration of distinction.

    The 4th annual Veterans Awards will be organized in partnership with Disabled American Veterans, The Independence Fund, Coalition to Salute America's Heroes, and Melwood Veteran Services. The ceremony will take place at The Watergate Hotel in Washington D.C.
